Charles Thuss is an accomplished finance and operations executive (CFO & COO) with extensive international experience managing organizational transformation and alignment, financial activities, process improvement and multi-national teams to improve margins, increase efficiencies and manage risk. In various roles in public and private companies, he has led teams to build, integrate and downsize organizations in the United States, Middle East, Europe and Canada in professional services, US Federal Contracting, construction, telecom and physical security. He started his career in emerging market private equity in Russia.

He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and Masters and Bachelors degrees in International Relations from Stanford University. He volunteers his skills in the community to support homelessness intervention, music and Float building for the Pasadena Rose Parade.

Bjoern is the Managing Director of the consultancy company “Next-Dimension”, focusing on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), E-Mobility and CO2 reduction.

He has been at the forefront of V2G and Vehicle-Grid-Integration (VGI) over the last 10 years being one of the world’s key drivers of industry defining projects and actual V2G commercial deployments. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Nuvve, the world leader in V2G solutions and was instrumental in guiding and preparing Nuvve to a successful IPO in 2021.

Before Nuvve, Bjoern had a long carrier with Siemens. He founded the Corporate Venture fund “Siemens Mustang Ventures” in Silicon Valley and became President and CEO. With Bjoern at the helm, Siemens Mustang Ventures invested in some of the most successful Internet technology startups and helped them towards profitable IPO’s. These start-ups included COM21, Efficient Networks, Extreme Networks, Phone.Com, Virata, Sycamore Networks and Cambridge Silicon Radio.

Subsequently, Bjoern was tapped by Siemens AG to become President and CEO of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC). Bjoern assumed worldwide responsibility for all of Siemens AG venture capital investments. During this time SVC managed five funds: Energy, Industry, Healthcare , IT/Telecommunications and Funds-in-Fund. Bjoern helped SVC to become one of the world’s most prominent and successful Corporate Venture Groups with 70+ direct investments and 30+ fund investments and offices in San Jose, Boston, Munich, Tel Aviv and Beijing.

Bjoern holds a Master of Science degree from the Technical University of Denmark and resides with his family in the San Francisco Bay Area.

One of the key advantages CDS has is a Packetized Display Protocol (PDP). PDP is a physical layer independent method of pixel data transmission capable of providing latency guarantees while maximizing performance. The goal with PDP is to send small sub-windows of data at a faster apparent frame rate, to be able to decode and display anywhere on the array, and maintain support for full resolution modes of operations.

Steve Wolfe is the founder and former CEO of CAD/CAM Publishing, Inc., a technology publishing company focused on computer-aided design, engineering, and manufacturing, 3D printing, and product-lifecycle management software. Prior to entering the publishing industry, he founded the consulting-engineering firm Engineers Cooperative, where he served as principal engineer.

Steve holds engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Northwestern University. He studied business administration at the University of Chicago and is a licensed Professional Engineer (retired) in California.

Founded in 2013, CDS is focused on developing advanced LED Infrared Scene Projectors for testing of Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs). In order to take the technology to the next level, CDS has to also go to the next level and is now Chip Design Systems Incorporation.
