Delaware, November 8, 2021/PRNewswire/–Chip Design Systems (CDS) announced today the appointment of Bjoern Christensen to their Advisory Board.

Bjoern is the Managing Director of the consultancy company “Next-Dimension”, focusing on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), E-Mobility and CO2 reduction.

He has been at the forefront of V2G and Vehicle-Grid-Integration (VGI) over the last 10 years being one of the world’s key drivers of industry defining projects and actual V2G commercial deployments. He served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Nuvve, the world leader in V2G solutions and was instrumental in guiding and preparing Nuvve to a successful IPO in 2021.


Before Nuvve, Bjoern had a long carrier with Siemens. He founded the Corporate Venture fund “Siemens Mustang Ventures” in Silicon Valley and became President and CEO. With Bjoern at the helm, Siemens Mustang Ventures invested in some of the most successful Internet technology startups and helped them towards profitable IPO’s. These start-ups included COM21, Efficient Networks, Extreme Networks, Phone.Com, Virata, Sycamore Networks and Cambridge Silicon Radio.

Subsequently, Bjoern was tapped by Siemens AG to become President and CEO of Siemens Venture Capital (SVC). Bjoern assumed worldwide responsibility for all of Siemens AG venture capital investments. During this time SVC managed five funds: Energy, Industry, Healthcare , IT/Telecommunications and Funds-in-Fund. Bjoern helped SVC to become one of the world’s most prominent and successful Corporate Venture Groups with 70+ direct investments and 30+ fund investments and offices in San Jose, Boston, Munich, Tel Aviv and Beijing.


Bjoern holds a Master of Science degree from the Technical University of Denmark and resides with his family in the San Francisco Bay Area.
